Seeing the Sea

Life is a series of compromises. A year ago, my crazy wife found a beach for sale in the north of Scotland and tried to convince me to buy it. Instead, we compromised. We found a small cottage in a beautiful wee village next to the sea and have made it home.

I have to admit, she was right. It is beautiful and magical feeling like you have ‘your own beach.’ But even better, is the new and fresh perspective living here gives. The changing light allows you to really see….

The sea and its routine and renewal has been refreshing, grounding, and strengthening. Each day is different with the changing of the wind and the light. But there is also a constancy which is comforting: a new perspective helping me to really see.
